Mavic's 1st Stitches....

and hopefully his last!  Mavic was twirling around and got dizzy, then smacked his head against our banister; he split open the skin across his eyebrow.  I have never seen so much blood come out of someone so quickly.  Of course Spencer was not here when this happened, so my parents rushed out and helped me take him to the doctors.  It was an awful experience for Mavic and me.  First of all he was terrified of the cartoon that was on in the InstaCare and then we had to wait for 45 minutes.  By the time we got back to the office, I knew it was not going to go down easily.  I told the nurse that Mavic was autistic so they got out a papoose to hold him down, but that wasn't enough so my dad had to hold his body down while the nurse and I held his head down.  Oh, and they put this paper covering over his face that opened up over the wound - what an awful idea.  It was like he was suffocating with that on and then to just see that one eye looking at me like I was torturing him - it KILLED me.  I was crying almost as hard as Mavic was.  It took about 45 minutes to get 7 stitches in him and my mom said you could hear Mavic screaming from the waiting room. :(  He kept saying, "No, Way" all through the procedure.  By the time it was all done Mavic was red and sweating.  Even though he had just been tortured, he got up and said thank you to the nurse.  I love my sweet Mav!  Spencer tells me it is a normal thing for boys to get stitches, but I hope my boys never have to go through that again.  Afterwards, my sweet parents got Mav some french fries and a courtesy ice cream cone - nothing like food to cheer you up!

What Hunter will do for a dollar.

Spencer told Hunter that he would give him a dollar if he would change Mavic's diaper tonight.

Hunter running as fast as he can to the garbage - he doesn't like to hold diapers.

Luke's 1st Big Boy Meal

My little Lucas continues to grow up.  Tonight he ate the same meal as the rest of us.  He had broccoli, Mac -N- Cheese, and hamburger.  He couldn't get enough of it and he loved drinking from a sippy cup -he made me so proud.

"Mavic is so loud"

Hunter couldn't take how loud Mavic was being last night, so he came out asking for dad's earphones.  He fell asleep with them on and I couldn't resist taking a picture of it.

Luke Is Standing!

This is the end of my baby being a baby.  Luke is now pulling himself up to everything and is walking along the furniture.  I actually may have a baby that walks at a year - crazy.  Luke is now into EVERYTHING he can get his hands on.  He pulls all my decorative grass out of our vase, he is pulling stuff out of drawers, and he even is able to open our oven.  I have a bad feeling that I am going to have another crazy boy!

Picture of McCall

Here are a few pictures of Spencer and Hunter's trip to McCall.

Poor Spencer had to hold on to the back of the knee board because Hunter was nervous.

Hunter finally wanted to try the knee board by himself.

Swimming by the dock.

One of Hunter's favorite things to do is to ride his bike especially with Spencer.

Hunter and his Aunt Anna

I guess Hunter got hot.

It's What Fun Is!

So Spencer and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary.  We were going to just go out to dinner, but then Spencer at the last second suggested us going to Lagoon.  So my kind parents said they would watch our boys from 4 - 11 PM.  We were so excited to go out and not have a fast date.  It felt like we were kids again, except that we got sick after every ride and I have become the biggest scaredy cat - I don't think I opened my eyes very much.  We didn't give in though to our old person ways and kept going on all the rides.  Our dreams of hitting all of the amusement parks in America better be fulfilled here soon, because I think the older we get the worse it is going to get.

"It brought tears to my eyes"

Hunter is in watching a new Phineas and Ferb movie and I asked him how the movie is.  He told me how Perry the Platypus was discovered to be a secret agent by Phineas and Ferb and they kicked him out.  I told him how sad that is.  He said, "Yes it is sad and it even brought tears to my eyes."  Hunter is definitely in the right family.

Luke's doing the wave!

So I keep forgetting to post about Luke waving.  I get so excited about these little milestones and want to write them down so I never forget.  It is the sweetest thing how if you wave to Luke, he will wave back.  It melts a mommy's heart!

Oh, a Camera??

So I don't know what it is about my children, but the moment they see a camera they come over to get into the shot - they are not vain!  I was just going to take a little picture of Luke and he kept climbing up on me trying to get to the camera and then Mavic came over saying, "Cheese".  Funny Ducks!

Jumping in the rain!

I had to get a picture of Hunter and his neighbor friends jumping in the rain on the trampoline.  It looked like so much fun - they said it was like a sprinkler under the tramp.  Oh to be a kid again!

THEY'RE BACK - YEAH!

Spencer and Hunter got to go to McCall this year just the two of them and we MISSED them so much.  I didn't think Mavic and Luke even noticed Spence and Hunt were gone, but when they came home our two little munchkins couldn't get enough of them.  Mavic hugged Spencer for the longest time and he even hugged Hunter, which he never does.  Then Luke wouldn't let Spencer put him down - he had a death grip on Spencer's shirt.  Luke was so excited to see Hunter that he would just follow Hunt around the house and giggle at him.  I love my little family of boys and I never want us to be a part again.  I told Spencer that we all now have to go to work with him because where one goes we all go - he says we can't!
I think Spencer is SO hot!

Can't you tell they are related.

It was so cute - Luke kept climbing on top of Hunt.

A Day at the Splash Pad

We discovered a fun splash pad in Eagle Mountain.  Since Hunter and Spencer were in McCall Mav, Luke, and I decided to head over for some fun.

He didn't come out of the splash pad in the 2 hours that we were there.  I love how my boys LOVE to have fun and don't ever stop.

I tried to tell Mavic it was time to go, so he is telling me, "BYE"

I forgot Mavic's change of clothes so he had to wear a dry swim diaper home- we got funny looks

Oh, my sweet little man

Soooo funny!

Now that Luke can pull himself up to his knees he loves playing in his crib.  He likes to pull himself up and look around and bounce.  I went in to find him like this and had to take a picture - he cracks me up!

A Trip To Costco

This is Luke's first time sitting in the cart like a big boy.  Mavic was not hip to this idea, in fact Mavic screamed,"STOP" almost the whole time in the store because Luke was touching him and talking.

In 1 Week's Time

I can't believe how quickly babies can change - so sad!  Why is it that my easiest baby is growing up too quickly?  Luke is now pulling himself up onto the furniture, which means Luke is falling a lot and getting hurt.  Just a week ago my life with a baby seemed so relaxing, but now he is into EVERYTHING.  He is definitely one of ours because he is loud, naughty, and he gets mad when he doesn't get his way - our boys are just like their dad!

Luke's Piano

Now that Luke is sitting up he loves to go to his little piano and play.  He loves this toy and will sit at it for quite a while.
