"No, Mavi Pray!!"
Since Mavic started saying his prayers, he will now only let him say the prayer. If one of us tries to say a prayer, he will yell during our prayer, "No, Mavi Pray" and he will not stop yelling that until you let him pray. So we now have him say the first prayer and then we tell him that it is someone else's turn to say a prayer. So far he is okay with this process, just as long as he gets to say it first. I can't remember if I have posted about the way he prays, so sorry if you have already read about this. You can understand him saying the beginning of the prayer and the end, but then the middle is just gibberish (to us anyway). The best part is how he pauses towards the end and then slowly says, "Ammenn." It melts my heart!!!
Mavic, the nudest!
A couple of weeks ago Spencer was outside with Mavic and Hunter. Mavic had been playing in the neighbor's backyard so Spencer decided to go check on him and see if he was okay. What Spencer found was not really a big surprise - Mavic fully naked playing in the neighbor's little pool. I do not know what it is about him with clothes, but any chance he gets to take off his clothes - he will! It is rare that we go into his room in the morning or after his nap and he still has his clothes and diaper on. He cracks me up!
Hunter
Well, Hunter is now in 2nd grade. Everyday I ask him how is day was and everyday he says, "Miserable". How did I get such a pessimist for a child? He loves recess though and this year is playing sports more - yeah! He really loves to play soccer most days. This past week was a huge accomplishment for him and us - he let us buy him shoes with shoe laces!!! I didn't think this day would ever come, it is funny how it is the little things that mean the most to you. This year Hunter is experiencing a girl liking him. He told me how he can't stand this girl telling him everyday that she loves him. I asked him what he said back to her and he said, "I don't even know what to say to that!". He said that he then tries to tell her jokes to distract her. A few weeks ago Spencer asked Hunter if he wanted to be baptised and they talked about all of the covenants he would make. He thought for a while, and then asked, "If I don't get baptised, will I still get the Holy Ghost?" Spencer told him no and he said, "Well then, I want to get baptised". I love that he is getting older now and starting to really grasp the gospel.
Luke
When did Luke become such a big boy? I can't believe how quickly this past year has gone and now my once baby is close to turning 1. He follows me around ALL day wanting me to hold him and if I don't hold him he says over and over, "MMMOMMM, MMMOMMM". It is cute, but I just would like to get some things done around here! He loves outside and if I am holding him while I run out to the garage to grab something and then come back inside, he will WAIL because he thought we were going outside. He loves to be around his brothers, in fact I swear I heard him say Mavic's name the other day. He was by Mavic and I asked Luke if he was playing with Mavic and he said, "Mawwy". I could be crazy, but it sure seemed like he said his name. Luke is getting closer to walking. He is now just standing on his own and is starting to sway forward like he wants that leg of his to move. He is still my happiest baby and even though my life is so much crazier, I am so glad his is in our family!
