Hunter's 1st Pinewood Derby

Hunter and his car

Hunter waiting for his turn to race his car.

Mavic just had to sit by his brother - too sweet!

Hunter's first race

Hunter at the finish line

Hunter had so much fun that night - he won a couple and lost a couple so I think it was really good for him.

I don't even know how to title this one.

So the other night Hunter tells us that every time it is his turn to get his book in school he does this...

while he is walking backwards.  I really wish I had video of him doing it - it was seriously the funniest thing we have ever seen (okay maybe not, but it was funny). We asked if the kids thought he was funny and he said, "No, but my teacher thinks I am funny."  I just love that he does that thinking he is funny and doesn't care if people think he is funny or not - love that kid!

Rub-A-Dub-Dub Three Boys in a Tub!

What you see is three happy boys, what you don't see is all of the water that is on my bathroom floor.  At least they had fun!

LUCAS

Luke saw me with the camera and wanted me to take his picture - he is so vain like his father!

Here is a trick to keep you from going insane if living with a household of BOYS!

I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner!

Dear Hunter.....From Santa (I know I am a little late at posting this)

Back in December Hunter got a personalized message from Santa straight from the North Pole.  He was amazed to see that Santa knew personal information about him and Santa even had pictures from Hunter's previous year.  It was so fun to see how excited Hunter was and to see how nervous he was to find out if he was naughty or nice.

Look how serious he is waiting to see if he was naughty or nice!

I guess he was nice!

When did he grow up??

Doesn't Mavic look older here?  He loves wearing anything of Hunter's scouting gear and here he is wearing Hunter's scout hat.  I just can't get over how grown up he looks in this picture, even if he still throws lots of tantrums.

Luke Hits The Jackpot!

Luke LOVES apples and will follow Mavic around the house while Mav is eating a apple just waiting for him to set it down.  The moment Mavic sets it down, Luke sweeps in for the taking.  I usually find him and the apple by following a trail of chewed up apple skins.

Our Little Dutch Boy

Over Christmas time Mavic loved to put on our Dutch shoes and walk around the house.  I was just glad that he was finally not walking around in my shoes.

It's Been Awhile

I didn't realize how long it has been since I posted on our blog.  I have a pile of sticky notes on my night stand with funny things written that my boys have done over that past several months, so that I can remember to put them onto the blog.  I think I will start with my baby Luke.  He has really been growing up a lot lately.  He now has 12 teeth and is loving having some of his molars to chew up his food.  He is like his brother Mavic and LOVES fruit and is like his brother Hunter and LOVES chocolate.  He will now go to the pantry door and just grunt or scream until I open the door for him to get a snack.  He loves to give kisses and even makes the "MMMM" sound when he does it - a mama loves that!  He LOVES his brothers and he has learned from them how to wrestle (I mean he will actually dog pile them if they are on the floor).  He has also learned from them how to be WAY loud - I now feel like I am in a nutty house.  Luke is speaking all over the place.  Some of the words I can decipher are: "Ta-Da, Bye-Bye, Hello, All Done, Thank You, Dadda, MOOOMMMM".  Lucas LOVES people, animals, and being outside.  He loves to give people loves and if I let him he would love an animal to death.  He screams if others get to go outside and he doesn't - basically he just wants to be where the party is at.

On to my innocent boy - Mavic.  He is continuing to develop and learn.  He is speaking more and starting to understand us a little more.  I do think he knows what is going on more than he lets on.  I love and not love how he is so sneaky.  Over Christmas he went under our Christmas tree and took a present into a our bedroom and quietly shut the door so nobody would hear or see him opening it.  Another time he went down into our basement and stripped down to nothing to go #1 on our treadmill and all over Spencer's shoes. Lucky for him he is too sweet and cute for me to stay mad at him :)  He is still loving school and loves his bus drivers; he gives his bus drivers (Debbie and Vicky) loves or kisses every time when they drop him off at home.  He LOVES to ride his bike and has to ride it everyday before he gets on the bus. The only problem with this is that he REFUSES to zip up his coat, wear his gloves, or wear a hat, so when he rides outside he almost turns into a Popsicle.  The last thing is that  Mavic loves to wear his brother's scout shirt and handkerchief, he even insists on wearing it to school.  He just wants to be like Hunter and Hunter actually loves that he wears it.  I will try and remember to take a picture of him wearing it because it looks like he is wearing a dress.

Now onto the BEST older brother I could ever ask for for my younger boys - Hunter.  He has really grown up in the last few months.  He is SO good at sharing with his younger brothers and is always amazing me with his compassion.  The other day his friend's grandpa passed away and he wanted to make him cookies and even wrote him a card - I hope he never loses his thoughtfulness.  He is loving being a cub scout and has really enjoyed working on his wolf.  This week he gets to go on his first scout field trip and it is to the Police Station - he is SO excited.  Scouting has been the best thing for Hunter.  He has learned how to do things that he wouldn't otherwise have done and it has helped him get out of his comfort zone.  I couldn't ask for a better program for him.  He still loves playing with Legos and he plans to be a Lego Designer when he grows up.  He even told us that he would hook us all up with whatever Legos we want - I can't wait for that day to come!  He loves to watch TV with his mom and dad late on Friday nights.  He loves the Gold Rush shows and the shows that show when people do dumb things and get hurt.  This has been my favorite year with Hunter so far - he is fun to hang out with.

Well, now I just need to post a bunch of pictures to catch up, so I should be caught up in a month :)
